Commercial Description:
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and poor slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Slightly better than the average Hefeweizen - thick consistency but drinkable. Great malt balance - not too citrus-y or banana-y.

This beer is fantastic for drinking on hot summer days. Hazy golden colour with huge off white head. Gorgeous fruity aroma with spicy yeast. Big on orange peel , citrus fruits and apples with spicy cloves, nutmeg and hops towards the finish. Very refreshing and crisp. This proved quite sessionable on a hot april afternoon -leaving me sllightly rosy cheeked.

Solid traditional hefe-weizen with the hazy yello look, huge white head and fruity wheat and yeast notes.

Bottle at Connection at Frankfurt Airport. A citrusy beer with flavours of pineapple, citrus, banana. Creamy and, oh so smooth.

Big bannana aroma and taste in this one. A great example of the style, however wheat beers are not really my go.

not that sweet like a German Hefeweizen on average - no strong aroma - leasts a very light taste on the palate

A brew that I drink often when back in Germany, and wanting a nice hefe, always fresh in the Saarland, as Frankfurt is near enough. More spice than many Hefeweizen, some yeastiness to it, a great brew, that I enjoy often, the Dunkel is good too!

tap in berlin... aroma was very weak and appearance resembled something of a cross between vomit and piss... flavor was slightly better with the typical hefe coming through, but i cannot quite account for the comparatively high ranking this beer received
