Flavour has the usual hefe hallmarks (bananas, hints of spice, citrus). To my palate it coated the mouth to strongly, a little unpleasent, but not off-putting. Nicely carbonated, quite light and refreshing. A big plus is that its the cheapest branded import German Hefe I can find in the UK: £1.39 a 500ml bottle from Oddbins. Which is nice. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Golden, hazy, nice head. The aroma has notes of wheat and fruit. It’s less sweet than the average weiss, and has a bit more citrus. It has notes of wheat, fruit, banana (not as distinct as expected). The flavour quickly grows watery, and I would like more power and body. DarkFaerytale (21), Melbourne, Australia

Woody banana perfume. Banana-bubblegum fruity with a moreish nibble of peppery-woody dryness in the finish. A real touch of bitterness for a Hefe. Spritzy, silky, fruity and balanced. A highly agreeable conclusion to the Dusseldorf pilgrimage. almopina (87), Madrid, Spain
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 24, 2007 Good hefeweizen. Hazy golden-orangish color with a big white head. Aroma of fruits, specially banana but also orange, and yeast. Sweet flavor, wheat easily noticed. Nice beer overall but nothing really special. Just another good (average) hefeweizen. raymondwave (882), Finland
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 22, 2007 This is the most banana-flavoured weize I’ve tasted. Which makes it in my book totally horrible. Doesn’t feel right giving this such a low rating, as I know it’s a "good beer", but I just can’t handle the estery taste of banana and melon on my beer. This is like drinking babyfood.
