Harsh on the palate, with an overpowering flavor of bacon pieces. The initial bacon shock subsides only to reveal a harsher, stinging aftertaste, leaving you wishing you hadn’t spent $8 on it in the first place. To it’s credit, it comes in a hefty 500ml bottle, and has the words ’Heff’ and ’Hoff’ in it. This beer belongs in the hallowed halls of GTSAFM (Get This Stuff Away From Me) Breweries. It was only finally consumed via rapid ingestion. maupie (604), Roosendaal, Netherlands
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2006 This beer has a pale body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the a bottle and it had a lot of carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is fruity with a light citrus afther tast. Muggus69 (537), Sydney, Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 1, 2006 A fair bit of banana and clove on the nose, possibly some apple and notes of more spice. Looks quite nice in my weizen glass; billowy white head with lace atop a hazy pale amber body. Smooth mouthfeel to it. Reasonably spicey flavour to it, with notes of banana, apple and some bubblegum candy sweetness. Fast becoming a favourite session beer for me with its reasonable price and availabilty. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 30, 2006 Abundant lightly golden foam, lumpy, sticky. Hazy orange/gold. Very nice to look at. Apples, cloves, and banana bread. A sweet, wholesome warmth. Bright, delicate apple flavor, a mouthfilling soft malt, gently peppery with the impression of other spices as well--cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg. A solid example of the style--yeast character really is the star of the show here. saxo (3597), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark
