Commercial Description:
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and poor slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Bottle 50cl. Poured thick, cloudy orange with a large blooming white head. A rich and yeasty aroma with bubblegum, banana and citrus notes. The taste was a little acidic, but very pleasant and refreshing. Tangy almost spicy fruit flavour with the classic south german bubblegum taste. Notes of yeast, bread and banana/citrus, ending in a smooth soft bitter with hints of malt. The palate was a little oily but not unpleasant; the kind of beer that holds on to the roof of your mouth. Low carbonation. Very tasty if a little acidic hefe.

500 ml bottle, aroma very delicate, nice frothy white head and hazy wheat colour. wheat flavour with fruits in the background. bitter not nice end. most sparkling,a little bit watery and lacks full taste. as much as I adore wheat beers I consider it a failure from deutschland

Bottle. Golden cloudy colour, with a nice white head. Aroma is acid like with some notes of citrus, banana, bread. Carbonation was very fizzy I thought. Flavour was sweet for a Hefe, but light bitterness was also there. Kind of dry and sweet finish.

Bottled at U Kanovniku, Hradcany, Prague, 500ml. Clouded yellow with white head. Another day and another set of pubs, we found this one under the Castle walls themeing itself as a dungeon, you cant miss it, there is a waxworks dummy of a prisoner trying to escape from a grill. The beer is certainly yeasty with big herbal notes and the taste and consistency of mashed banana. There is a dry finish with a touch of mint.

Poured from the bottle, a very cloudy orange with a large rocky white head. Strong wheaty flowery aroma with hints of bubblegum. Quite a smooth carbonated mouthfee with a sharp finish. Good banana and citrus flavours.
