What a disappointment - looks okay, cloudy like it you’d expect, some citrus ans banana in the nose, but what a weak flavour. Slightly bitter, hint of lemon, but wholly unremarkable. Flavour dies off almost immediately, leaving residual bitterness that is as unexpected as it is unwelcome. Luckily, I only picked up the one bottle.

Jul 4, 2005 Tasted in Toronto. Obtained as part of the LCBO summer series line up. Tasted in a dimple mug. Appearance is a deep yellow / straw colour, cloudy/hazy with a very light but sustained white head. Aroma is of bread, yeast and slight sweetness, almost like honey. Flavour is dry, hints of fruity esters, banana, bubble gum and some light hints of spice.

Jul 4, 2005 Bottle from LCBO. Hazy dark gold colour with a large, pillowy white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, spice & dust. Mouthfeel is smooth and well-bodied. Notes of wheat, banana, lemon & clove in the flavour. Finish is dry and very refreshing. Nice stuff.

Jul 4, 2005 Bottle. Definitly an above average hefewizen. Similar in appearance with nice head and hazy body. But this is nice and full in body where other hefes tend to water out. Nice aromas of lemon, and clove in the head as you sip. A complete beer!

Jul 4, 2005 Bottle. Hazy dark gold with fine white head and good lacing. Mostly banana and wheat flavors, finishing with some spice and citrus tart. Easy to drink, but thin tasting.

Jul 3, 2005 Spicey, wheat aroma, hazy golden, pours a huge, long lasting, billowy white head, plenty of carbonation here, leaves a lot of pretty lace too. Flavour has a soft wheat forefront, banana, and clove in the middle, a hint of lemon meringue towards the end. Well balanced, medium bodied, creamy, smooth mouthfeel, refreshing. A fine example.

Jul 2, 2005 Nothing special here and unfinishable. At least the L.C.B.O. didn’t bring it in cans. Watery minimal taste with enormous bulk of head, that would not go away. Sour milk aroma, the yeast and wheat just didn’t add value. This was a fresh bottle.

Jul 1, 2005 Hazy gold with a big white lacy small beaded head. Grassy, citrus and wheat in the aroma. Lots of banana. Probably the dryest HW I’ve ever had. Lightly spiced. Peppery carbonation. Refreshing, but relatively dull and thin on the palate.
