Pours a hazy amber colour with a big white head. Citrus, malt, and banana aroma. Sweet, yeasty malt taste. Not bad, but nothing outstanding asheft (1410), Marburg, Germany

Hazy, orangey amber with a little lacing, but nice, white cover. The aroma was a little skunky, had a bit of noble hops apparent, was lacking in malt character. Although hazy, this beer tasted like a german lager plus wheat--I’m not sure that it’s a hefeweizen: nice crisp malt with some sweetness. Pretty well balanced with german hops flavour. Light to medium body with elevated carbonation beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 9, 2005 Hazy orange / amber color that matches the label on the bottle. Thick, white head. Smells of grassy fields. Light body similar to their Kristalweizen, but without the crisp finish. Carbonation in mine was lively, but not obnoxious. Quite tasty.. especially in a Schofferhofer Glass. gulf690 (21), Australia
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 9, 2005 Bottle. Poured a dense white head which was very creamy and stuck around. The beer was a little darker than expected for a hefe. Nose had a grassy herbal tone to it. Palate was high in carbonation which gave some grunt in the mouth, but was well balanced with a medium bitterness. Gave a long finish, very smooth with a nice afterglow. My glass was too small for the half litre, and the beer tasted better for the addition of the yeast. stouby (1944), Holbaek, Denmark

Yellow with large white head, almost lasting, nice lacings. Unfiltered. Aroma moderat of yeast and malt, light hoppy. Flavor moderat sweet, light acidic. No flavor of hops. Light body, watery, lively carbonated. hefevice (72), Brisbane beer desert, Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 9, 2005 Bottle, about 3 months past "Best Before" date which I did not notice until after I had tasted. Presents like a typical German Hefeweizen, but lighter than usual (light straw colour). Aroma is typical but somewhat muted. Flavour is muted as well, and much drier than typical for the style. There are many significantly better hefe’s around. Might need to re-rate this one with a fresh bottle, although looking at other reviews, it probably won’t make much difference.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 3, 2005 Decent German hefeweizen. Poured a bottle-conditioned bronze colour, with a tall, lasting head. Typical hefeweizen aroma: Bananas, wheat. Quenching palate. Slight sourness to this - may be past its best. But not unpleasant. Good balance. (Bottle)
