Commercial Description:
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and poor slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

50cl bottle poured into a weizen glass. Cloudy orange with ample fluffy white head. Aroma is bananas, citrus, yeast. Flavor is sweet Strong banana and some spice. Medium carbonation. Medium finish, slightly bitter. I find this one rather ordinary.

500ml bottle. Murky gold colour with a large, billowing head that settles to a medium-thin film. Banana and bubblegum aroma with a wheat and yeast background. Light on the palate with decent carbonation but, for me, there’s not enough body. Taste is mostly at the bubblegum/banana end and more than a bit of cloves. There’s also a slight sweetness and dryish finish. Nothing spectacular, nothing particularly bad, either.

Bottle, 50cl. Pours an unclear yellow beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is wheat, citrus and malt. The flavor is hops (hay), and it leaves a dry palate. Average beer, but as hefeweizen below average.

Bottle , pours a slightly hazy, amber colour, strong wheat aroma with some fruit (mostly banana, some citrus). off-white Taste is strong fruity (banana and citrus) initially, becomes more wheaty in the middle. More bitterness in the finish. one of my favourite Hefeweizen.
