Commercial Description:
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and poor slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Bottle at Frankfurt Airport. Pours cloudy golden with a rich and lacing offwhite head. Quite spicy aroma with lots of coriander. Banana as well. Good banana flavours, mildly spicy in the mouth. Full-bodied, low carbonation. A good enough hefeweizen without too much originality.

Faint banana aroma. Slightly toasty banana flavours. Not very bitter, quite crisp. Average weiss beer, no flavour really comes through strongly.

Bottled 50cl. It pours a beautiful translucent golden beer with a nice white head. Fruity nose with hints of yeast, cloves and gooseberries. Very nice. The taste is of banana and cloves. Light to medium bodied. Surprisingly hoppy. Refreshing. Quite a bite to this beer. Good lacework. Notes of popcorn sneaking in. Well balanced. Dry bitter finish. An interesting and very pleasant Hefeweizen. Great!

On tap in Frankfurt. Dirty yellow gold with a huge white head that descends rockily. Nice bubblegum and banana notes over wheat. Tasty!

Hazy darker blond coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a large white head. Light fruity, yeasty grainy aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is light bitter, with some fruity yeasty wheat touches. not bad.
