Commercial Description:
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and poor slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

I like hefe’s and this was my mainstay in my recent trip to Germany. I had a lot of good hefe’s there, but this was definitely the one that I drank the most and had the most positive impression of. The dunkel variety is good also.

One of my favorite hefes. First had it in Germany, then subsequently found bottles in Dublin. Haven’t seen it in the States yet. Pours a hazy orange-gold with a nice, fluffy head. Nose of wheat, yeast, cloves, banana and orange. Flavor is heavy on the wheat with some yeast and citrus notes. Medium body. Smooth and crisp on the finish with a delightful aftertaste. Great stuff.

(Sampled 0,5 liter can.) Good head, cloudy golden colour. Lovely aroma of citrus and spices, refreshing light flavour. A good hefe, recommended for everyone who loves the style.
