floydian1 (255), FNQ, Australia Oct 31, 2009 500ml bottle from First Choice Liquor. Pours clear golden with a transient medium white head. Aromas of fresh bread and lemon citrus. Palate is medium bodied with wheat, lemon and banana flavours. Finishes moderately sweet. Quite highly carbonated with a lively mouthfeel. A decent German filtered wheat beer that is reasonably priced in Australia. blackbock (34), Australia Oct 17, 2009 (bottle) A brilliantly clear Kristallweizen, somehow not as flavourful as its Hefeweizen brother. Looks like this is one beer that lost something during the filtration process. I still liked it though, and would drink again. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Oct 14, 2009 Bottle 50cl. @ home. Clear medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light malty, moderate yeasty, light banana, sour yeast, acotone. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average duration, fresh acidic notes. Body is medium, texture is creamy to watery, carbonation is soft. Pours clear pale golden with a fine, creamy, white head. Sweet wheaty aroma, light citric and banana a tad sugary. Highish carbonation, fair mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, light metallic, some citric. Actually a kinda fine kristall weizen. ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Sep 11, 2009 Bottled 500ml. -Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, pleasant wheaty spicy nose. Lively carbonation. Slight wheaty and quite stale acidic taste with notes of bubblegum and metal. A bit watery palate. Doggythedog (1541), Split, Croatia Aug 31, 2009 Bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado (thanks!) Poured a clear yellow-golden body pierced by very lively carbonation and a big thick white head. Cloves and bubblegum in the nose. Smooth taste, chewed up bubblegum ending with lemony sourness. A bit bready too. Ok enough, kinda drinkable. Nekronos (2243), Xalapa, Mexico Aug 21, 2009 I don’t know what’s the deal with the Kristall hefe weizen but I just don’t find the good taste in it. This one was not the exception. saxo (3511), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Aug 1, 2009 Bottle. Huge head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, malt, banana and hops.
