Aug 27, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear and golden with a huge head. I’m not a great fan of Kristalls, but this is one of the better samples. Fresh, dry almost crispy. And a bit unusually it is very wheaty with a citrusy edge. 081000

Aug 7, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and yellow with a huge almost fully white head. Ester banana aroma. Flavour starts sweet with a distinct ester flavour of banana - followed by a brief more citric note. Goes gradually more dry towards the finish. Ends dry wheaty.

Clear medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light malty, moderate yeasty, light banana, sour yeast, acotone. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average duration, fresh acidic notes. Body is medium, texture is creamy to watery, carbonation is soft. [20091005]

Aug 5, 2005 Bottle. Metallic aroma. Clear golden colour, stable rocky white head. Flavour is like can be expected from a Kristallweizen, a bit boring. But quite bitter for a wheat beer, and a bit harsh.

May 10, 2008 Clear golden with a nice head. Both aroma and flavour has more to offer than the average kristall. I find light sweetness and a good banana note, there is no clear clove and/or yeast, but that is low in the rest of the Schöffenhofer series too. Not as nice at the "normal" version, but better than expected.
