cloudy yellow-orange body with white head and minimal lacing; egg and bread aroma at first, but then mostly presents itself as sour tropical fruit; banana and wheat flavor with sour note; lively palate; good brew - a bit sharp, but that’s okay with me.

Nov 8, 2009 The beer pours out an amber body, clear with a 1" off-white head, with a quick melt. Aroma is light clove, a bit of wheat and...just kinda blah. Nothing really much to hang on. Aroma is pretty much the same. Just kinda blah. Some light wheat notes, a bit of yeast....seemed kinda old and dirty. Don’t know how old it is.

Aug 5, 2009 Bottled at Zum Hirschenwirt Biergarten, Salzburg, Austria. Cloudy orange creamy head. Perfumy nose with some butter and banana. Medium dry with well rounded spritzy mouthfeel. Light-medium bodied with cottony caramel and light banana esters. Refreshing and well made weizen.

Apr 26, 2009 Bottle; tailgate tasting at Rose Bowl. Poured a murky/hazy orange color with a white head. Aroma was not very good; bready, earthy, grassy with only a faint hint of wheat. Flavor was much better; earthy and wheaty. More hops than expected, but overall it was a solid beer.

Apr 15, 2009 Bottled, BB 8/27/06 thanks to David! Poured medium orange with rising carbonation and a creamy cap of white head. The aroma was sweet with honey and redder fruits accented by mild earthy and leafy notes.. sweet and non-offensive. The flavor was sweet again with some caramel and bready malts at the core.. light lemony sourness surrounded.. bitterness was long gone.. sweet finish. Light-medium bodied and dry on the palate.. again non-offensive, but seriously degraded.

Mar 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy orange with an average, fizzy, white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, grain, straw), light hops (grass), heavy yeast (horse blanket, earth) with notes of banana and paper. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Feb 16, 2009 Nice super hazy golden/orange coloured body with a dense slightly off-white head that lasts quite a long time - this is exactly what a german hef should look like! Aroma of nice wheat, coriander seed, curacao, sour grapes, yeast and a tiny bit of spice. Light-bodied; Malty flavour, but not that of wheat, lemony twang and a very watery feeling. Aftertaste shows more wheat than the taste, a bit of sweetness and an overly drying and watery flavour. Overall, a good looking and smelling beer, but it loses most of it’s quality in the taste and palate - there simply isn’t enough of it to go around! I sampled this 500 cL bottle purchased from Lee’s Discount Liquors in Las Vegas, Nevada on 07-February-2009, sampled a week+ later on 16-February-2009 at home in Washington.
