Only a touch of aromatic noble hops. The flavor is very dry with oats, crackers and dry, bitter hops. Kind of thin but full flavored. A little spicy. There’s something special about a good German pilsner. This definitely qualifies.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 17, 2009 Very pale golden pour with a sticky white head. Nose is light and fairly spicy. A kiss of straw/grassy malts and a light herbal nose. The hoppiness is quite light. A little bit minerally with a bit of herbal spiciness on the nose. Lots of clean, crackery malts. Very, very dry with a lingering light minerally dryness. More crisp pils malt and very clean bitterness. I really like this one. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2009 Bottle: Pale clear yellow gold with a dense white film. Clean, biscuity pils aroma with a crackery fresh dryness and a grassy herbal noble hop note. Very nice. Crisp quenching feel with a firm pils malt presence in the flavor- Crackery, dry and lean pils presence with a great flowery/peppery noble hop bitterness on the back making it dangerously drinkable. An awesome German pils that I can drink all day. Very underrated. kopher (305), New York, USA

clean, crisp, bright aroma, mild hops. flavor is a bit muddled, not as crisp and refreshing as it should be, though extremely dry finish. light all around, and kinda bland. lemony and grainy flavor. i dont know, this isn’t good. jfb (423), Weihenstephan, Germany
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2009 (bottle) pours a very pale yellow colour with a frothy white head. aroma of subdued floral hops with hints of straw and pale malts. flavour is nicely on the hoppy side of things, with light malts and a light bitter finish. light body with medium carbonation. alexanderj (2269), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Bottle; well past its prime. The store shouldn’t have been selling it, and it didn’t dawn on me to check. Anyways, poured a dull, clear gold color with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grass and bread. Not an overly strong aroma. Flavor of bread and biscuits, with a grassy and slightly peppery finish. Not great, but better than expected. BigBeer45 (698), Troy, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Bottle, Best By 06.07.09’ (July 6, 09), and 5.4% alc. on the label, poured a clear straw gold into the glass, initially, had a white foamy head that was one to two fingers thick then it collapsed to sparse cover and ring, effervescence that stayed for the ride, that was good (we all hate a beer whose bubbles that have pooped out, don’t we). I saw some floaties in the glass, nothing to worry about, left average lacing on the glass, faint aromas of grass and flowers, pilsner and bread/biscuit aromas, a touch of citrus on the nose, light flavors of Pilsner Malt, bread and grain, this beer has a good bitterness before and after the drink, and a bitterness on the palate after the finish, very little sweetness in this drink, light mouth feel with a crispness on the lips, a nice beer. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 15, 2009 Bottled, BB 9/16/06 thanks to David! Poured clear, bright golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up soft bready notes with earthy and floral hoppage around (certainly diminished a bit).. broken-down fruity sweetness on the back. The flavor was sweet with honey, pale malts, and biscuity notes accented by dry, degraded floral bitterness.. sweet and a tad bit earthy at the end. Lighter-bodied and well-balanced on the palate.. definitely old, but it sure held up well for the style.
