Commercial Description:
This English influenced Ale uses generous amounts of Maris Otter, Crystal, and Dark Malts to produce a beer that is richly colored (it's English influenced isn't it?), yet smooth and easy to drink. The subtle influence of Goldings Hops provides the perfect balance to this beer's malty backbone that embraces flavors of toast and caramel. 22 IBUs

Clearish amber pour. Mostly diminishing off-white head that still leaves a cover. Bready, sticky caramel malts camp under a slice of most welcome floral hops that accentuates the malt’s nuttiness. Well brewed obviously, the few ingredients there are blend in nicely if not quite serving a purpose. An unnecessary confirmation that I should listen to myself and stop drinking amber ales..

Draft at the brewpub. Reddish amber color. Slightly roasted aroma. Flavor is slightly roasted malt with some balancing bitter. Not a brown nor a pale nor an ESB. Almost its own style. Amber?

Had at Rubicon. Pours a shade of amber. Aromas of toffee and floral and English Hops. Nice sweetness of toffee and caramel balanced by floral and herbal hop bitterness.

On tap at the Schooner’s Brewery/Restaurant in Antioch. It pours a striking clear amber with lasting off white head and spotty lacing. Nice aroma of nuttiness, roasted malts and mild caramelization. It has a somewhat creamy mouth feel which ushers in the roasted and nutty notes noted in the nose. Midway mild malt caramelization shows up with slight astringency into the finish. It ends thin and dry.
