22oz Bottle from stoutlover72, big thanks for this one! Poured a dark black body with thin head. Roasted malt aroma with a slight coffee feel. First taste is sweet and slightly bitter. As I sip it it showed it’s unbelievable smooth character. This one was so smooth! Flavor is of coffee, Vanilla Bean, chocolate malt. Very nice aftertaste. Wish I could get a case of this. A damn good stout. Cheers!!!

Thanks to Stoutlover72 for sending this out for the Columbus Tasting. Vanilla bean and coffee aroma from the black body with a slight head. Medium palate that was creamy. Vanilla and coffee flavors mix in the taste with some weak malt flavors.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with stoutlover72 (thanks!). Poured a dark black color with brown edges and an averaged sized brown head. Aromas of oat, lactose, cocoa, roast, light coffee, and vanilla. A lot going on in the aroma with everything working very well together. Tastes of oats, chocolate, roast, vanilla and verly light coffee. Nice smooth and creamy body. Nice...

Poured an opaque brown color with a thin, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla cream, cocoa, oats, roasted malts, lactose, and toffee. Taste of chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla beans, and a bit of rauchiness. Moderate carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of stoutlover72. Thanks Garrett! Missed this at GABF 2006 and jumped at the chance to rate this. Pours deep, opaque brown to near black. Nose is predictably strong roasted malts, burnt chocolate cake, light cinnamon, bittersweet chocolate and dark, oily coffee. Taste reveals a bit more sweetness. Dark chocolate, cold coffee, burnt chocolate chip cookies, light chocolate pudding notes and soft vanilla. Body is sooooo creamy and smooth. Just velvety as it goes down. Light carbonation. Medium overall feel. Finish is light cocoa, subtle dark fruits, chocolate cake, roasted malts, light coffee, and light spiciness, though I can’t place the exact spice. Well made beer!
