Commercial Description:
Our Oktoberfest is a true German Lager. Amber in color, it has a delicate malt flavor with a satisfying Vienna malt toastiness. The malt is nicely balanced with Hallertau hops for a classic Noble hop flavor and slightly dry finish.

Thanks Bobo! Pours an etheral rusty brown color. It truly reminds me of fall in New England. Aroma is awesome. Hints of toasted pumpkin, hazelnuts, gingersnaps, toasted grain and a bit of sweet malt. Flavor is rich and toast, some of the nuttiness is comes through in an elegant and refined manner. Excellent beer.

Presumably this is the same as what they call their Marzen, which I sampled on tap at the brewery. Leathery brown with moderate head. Nice toasty, bready malts in aroma, moderate caramel. Lightly sweet (but not too sweet), intensely rich malty flavor. Toast and caramel. Finishes creamy and smooth with appropriately light bitterness. Amazing!

On tap @ Schooners poured aclear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied smooth and dry. Flavors of bread, carmel and light fruitiness with a dry slightly astringent finish.

(Growler) Courtesy of aspidites. Beautiful clear, orangey brown with an off-white head. Fresh, malty nose - a byt rye breadish. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel - a bit low in carbonation. Very clean and malty with a dry finish. 290307

Sof and delicate mouthfeel with good up front noble hop bitterness that may be too much for the purists out there but makes me want more with each amazing sip.
