Schooners Robust Porter

Pours deep brown with a thin tan head. Nose of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Same in the flavor with a hint of dark fruits. Could be a bit thicker in the mouthfeel, but very nice overall.

Poured dark brown/black, roasted malts, chocolate, little coffee, little licorice.

On tap at the brewery. Interesting story. The brewer says this beer is actually a mistake. It was a batch of their oatmeal stout that went wrong, but it turned out to be pretty tasty anyway. I agree. It has a faint, but roasty aroma and flavor. I can taste licorice, chocolate, and coffee. It has a medium body, is dark brown in color with a small light tan dissapearing head. Nice porter. Not super tasty, but the good roastiness saves it.

Draft. Blackish beer with a light tan head. Roasty, chocolate malt aroma. Roast flavor with chooclate and light earth. Medium plus bodied. Roastiness lingers with light chocolate.
