Another gusher. Phenolic aroma of band-aids, burnt plastic. Pours a huge white head that lasts forever but chunks of yeast (?) in suspension are off-putting as is the hazy oily looking colour. Thin sour lemons sprinkled with spices. Bottle.

What a tremendous little dry lambic. Of course it was supposed to be a wit and it has the telltale shoune bret. infection but it works superbly in this one. It has some wonderful horsey blancket flavours along with a pronounced lactic touch. The high proportion of unmalted wheat with the brettamyce infection makes for a perfect lambic based beer. Pour me another please. Big lively long lasting head, pale straw coloured. As a wit it would probably score as below, but as a drinkable beer it is a 3.9 in my books.

(Bottle) Poured my beer from 3 feet - still no head. These Schoune beers are either all or nothing, folks. High sediment, yellow body. Little carbonation. Typical citrus and spice Schoune nose. This is an organic brew void of all taste and complexity. Sour, citrus flavour and thin, THIN, flavour. Quick finish with mild spice aftertaste. Very poor brew from this brewery... Some macros have superior products for certain...

Apples on the ground…But if you look closer…A worm is slowly eating it away…
