(Bottle 100 cl) Beautiful amber with a fine, dense and very stable head. - a very goodlooking brew. Very roasted, malty flavours with a touch of smoke. Harmonious, balancing bitterness. Very fresh and delicious beer. 260203

Cask at the brewpub. Lightly hazy copper colour. Very special estery nose with some sulphur and bubblegum. Dryish with rather clean mouthfeel and light body. Nice salty bitterness.

Draught. Dark red copper colour. Small stable creamy head. Fruity flavour with a bit of sewer. Bad bitterness ruining it for me. Hop aromatic. Too rough. 5 3 4 3 11

Draught at the brewpub. Weak fruity aroma. Clear dark copper colour. Big, stable light brown head. Clean roasted flavour, a bit fruity. By no means my favourite Alt. 5 3 6 3 12

Bottled (BBE Apr 2009, from Bov, thank you!). Amber colour, mediumsized beige head, nice lace. Aroma is wooden, a bit fruity with some earth and nutty notes. Flavour is bitter wooden notes along with some nuttyness and caramel malts. Wellbalanced and really nice.
