pivnizub (3501), Porúří, Germany Apr 28, 2008 Draught at the Oststrasse: Copper coloured, quite firm beige head; fruity and toasted malty nose with a distinctive bitterness and a tinge of vegetables; distinctive, dryish bitter-sweet flavour, thin body; slightly lingering bitter-fruity finish with a tart "tail". Not so well rounded as the superb "regular" Alt, and not so fresh, because it is rarely demanded........
Rastacouere (5196), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 27, 2007 Hazy light orange covered by a large white head. Surprisingly floral example with orange blossom notes accompanying the soft maltiness without edges. Not very complex for Schumacher, the malt feels like straight toasted barley with little intricacies and the growing bitterness is a bit rough for the thin body that lies underneath. henrikb (1008), Aarhus, Denmark Apr 17, 2007 Draught 2.9% ?? - Thin cobber body with a huge creamy off white head; Taste and aroma as the second or maybe even third rum of the Alt, very little but elegant aromas, malty and thin, almost hoppier the the Alt; Big carbonation in thin body, bitter; Long bitter slightly dry finish, very little but same aromas as in Alt a little citrus added. Fukito (588), Buenos Aires, Argentina Mar 31, 2007 Tap at Brewpub., march 07. A little biscuity, toffee aroma but very restrained. Golden copper color with a lively carbonatation and a nice, white head. Flavor is very light, some bread malt and a slight toast touch. Light MF, short aftertaste and watery finnish. Not so bad for a low alcohol. omhper (10002), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 10, 2007 Updated: Mar 21, 2007Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden, creamy head. Lightly fruity with some sulphur. Light bodied with notes of grass and metal. Short grassy finish. Was served only after protests from the waiter, who didn’t like this beer hmself.
