On tap at the Schuttinger Brewpub, Bremen 25-10-09 Pours hazy yellow with a white head. This has a softness in the mouth but again like the Dunkel I find that it lacks in every department. There is some creaminess but once again I get too much metallicyness, its just about ok. A5 A3 F5 P3 Ov10 2.6

On tap. Light smell of hops. A medium sized white foamy head, normal long lasting. The body is light cloudy and dark yellow. Quite malty taste, medium taste of hops, quite bitter, unfortunately also a little bit metallic in the finish. Creamy and dry texture, medium body with normal carbonation. Short duration, quite astringent finish.

Couple of mugs at the brewpub. Much paler and hazier than illustrated. Looks like a weisse. Herbal, burning rubber tyre aroma (© D.Martin, 2008), wafts of almond as it warms. Soapy shampoo citrus, witbier murk and froth. Pleasingly herbal and bitter. Soft malty afters with lingering Rich Tea and cornflake. Real. A bit barnyardy if I remember. This was Dirtman’s initiatory encounter with an unfiltered hell, and he couldn’t take it. Decent.

Draught at the brewpub. Better than Dunkel, but also quite weak. Hazy golden coloured, medium sized white head. Malty, hoppy and bready aroma with sharp bitter finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy pale yellow colour. Big stable white head. Citric aroma. The flavour is mild with OK hoppiness. Finishes quite bitter. The bitterness is rough which suits the slight maltiness well. Very süffig.

Draught at the Schuttinger brewpub. Hazy golden color with creamy head. Malty, slightly fruity aroma. Grainy and malty flavor with some bitterness and some herbal hops. Very basic and drinkable lager.

On draught (@ the brewpub). Dark golden to orangey coloured, firm, off-white stable foam; sweetish malty nose with a touch of yeast; moderate bitter-sweet taste, fizzy mouthfeel; mild sweetish finish with a good dash of bitterness coming quite late; typical german "Hausbrauerei" beer, a bit boring, but drinkable, though.........................
