I like bitterness, so it was ok for me, but the brew seems abit unbalanced, ok, but was expecting better. GG (1678), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Mar 12, 2006 This black beer was all over the place. Aroma was intriging with notes of molasses and grain. Not bad I thought. Appearance was near perfect for a schwarzbier, just black as midnight. Mouthfeel I thought was way too thin. Flavor was just alright with a roastyness that was appealing, but given the way it looked and smelled this should have been a grand slam. In the end, it’s a double off the wall. Not bad, but could have been soooo much better. fatty (363), Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 8, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) A very classical Schwarzbier, pitch black with a handsome light brown head. Heavily carbonated. Dry and easy to drink without much bitterness. A good example of it’s style. 120201 hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden
