(Bottle 50 cl) A very classical Schwarzbier, pitch black with a handsome light brown head. Heavily carbonated. Dry and easy to drink without much bitterness. A good example of it’s style. 120201

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small orange glare at the rim. Medium crispy and tan head. Roasted and herbal spiced aroma. Flavour is bitter and spiced. Roasted acidic base flavour. Somewhat unrefined. Ends dry and bitter.

Bottle 50cl. w. swing top.
Clear dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, sea water notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20081016]

Bottle. Hint of metal and bread. Very dark brown colour. Big, semi-stable, light brown head. Flavour is roasted at first, but turns a little watery and anonymous. Quite thin mouthfeel. Mild carbonation. Quite drinkable, but also boring.

Dark brown color. Very nice aroma, with malt, caramel, chestnut honey, light roasted malt. Correct body, quite malty, some residual sweetness, a lot of caramel and honey; well hoppy. Very well brewed, excellent!

Bottled (BB 10/2007)
Dark ruby color, decent creamy brownish head, some lace. Burned malts and skunky hoppyness in the aroma. Lightly roasted malty/dark malt flavors, notes of woody hops. Short aftertaste. Quite watery and light palate. Harmless and boring schwarzbier.

Black/brown, the head is big-bubbly, but rather lasting. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and hops. The flavour isn’t as sweet as many other schwartzbiers, and I like that. It has notes of roasted malt, caramel, a hint of licorice and a slightly hoppy bitter finish. OK, but not one, I’ll buy again.
