Dark brown color. Very nice aroma, with malt, caramel, chestnut honey, light roasted malt. Correct body, quite malty, some residual sweetness, a lot of caramel and honey; well hoppy. Very well brewed, excellent!

Great demostration of a Schwartz beer. Have had a bad lot, Had a tin flavor on the aftertase, but recent lots have had superior quality.

Elegant packing holds a quite strong beer. It has average 4.9% vol. alc. but it feels stronger. Has tasty cream, and a neat smell. The aftertaste isn’t quite strong as expected, which might be good if you dislike having the taste of beer long after the drinking. Overall: nothing special, yet another good dark beer.

Bottle. Dark, almost black. Tan head, some lacing. Roasty malt aroma, sweet syrupy aroma, maybe a little grainy. Flavor is toasted bread, light roaast light chocolate. Smooth medium to full body. Not too bad.

Swing top bottle. Roasted malt, coffee and just a touch of caramel in the flavor. Fairly dry with a good roast effect. Well made and well balanced.
