Swing-top. Hazy yellow-gold, rocky, frothy white head. Strong smell of wheat and yeast, likewise strong banana, somewhat softer note of pretzel dough. Crisp and <!-- i -->firmly<!-- /i --> spicy taste, same flavors as in the aroma. I like the small wave of doughy malt coming across. Yeasty and moderately dry finish. Very good Hefe.

Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours slightly metalic, darkish wheaty - golden, cloudy to murky body, visually the body is gently saturated, head is regular white, initially big, firm and very slowly decreasing to medium, frothy in texture, dense and leaving gentle lacing.
Aroma: Very nicely mild with dominating yeast, wheat, banana, clove and spicy top, well hopped with citrussy - lemony accents, some flowers, coriander, cinamon, carrot, pronounce herbs, gentle touch of alcohol hidden at the background, quite strong, complex and impressive aroma as for a Hefe - Weizen.
Flavour: A classical south - German Weizen of a noble quality, nice smooth yeasty - wheaty texture and palate impression, gentle alcoholic background, some Ale oriented easters, carrot juice, lime, good saltyness and mineral profile, wheat, banana, clove, Provance herbs, really full and satisfying Hefe - Weizen flavour.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is smooth and very soft, carbonation on palate is soft, finish feel is gently alcoholic, smooth and slightly spicy-hoppy.

Swing-top. Light in many ways (color, flavor, body), but classic in character. Nice banana cloviness. Would’ve liked a fuller body. Thanks Brett. (#3431, 4/18/2008)

Bottle: Dull golden, cloudy, large frothy white head, spotty lacing, moderate carbonation.   Wheaty nose, slight banana & clove.   Moderate flavors of wheat, banana, & clove.   Not heavy like other examples.   Pleasant.   Bready finish.   Lighter bodied than others, but still quite enjoyable.   Likely easier to fill up on these than say Paulaner.   Thanks for sharing danem!

Bottle - Strong clove/banana aroma. Light yellow color with only slight cloudiness. HIgh carbonation with much more hops than is typical in a Weizen - clove and banana flavor very subtle. A light Hefe.
