Schwaben Bräu Meister Pils

Swing top bottle. Flowery aroma. Flowery, grassy hopbitter flavor. Grassy hopbitter finish. Not bad.

Clear straw color with a big white head. Great lacing. Smell is sweet with citrus, grass, and some notes of amonia. Taste is not anything special and a bit too sweet for me with a off balance of bitterness. Might be a bad bottle but most likely just a not so good beer.

50cl bottle poured into a dimpled mug. Nice clear golden color with about one finger of head. Nose is subdued. I detect citrus and grass. Taste is a bit sour, with notes of citrus and hops. Finish is short to medium. Medium carbonation. Not bad but not great.

(Draught at The Rake, Southwark, London, 17 Apr 2009) Golden colour with brief, white head. Malty nose with bread, grass, hay and hints of pineapple. Malty taste with notes of bread, grass and hay. Clean and fresh with balanced sweetness and a mild, grassy bitterness. A solid German pilsener.

bottle. Clear pale yellow colour, large white head. Hoppy nose with a herbal touch. Medium-bodied, dry mouthfeel. Very shy malty background, bitter and aromatic hops dominate together with hints of herbs.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a fizzy white head. Aroma is mild spiced and cornish. Seems dry. Flavour is crisp bitterhops and light spiced. Slight towards herbal. Meidum dry and bitter finish. Crisp and clean, yet a bit too much on the dry side for me.

Bottle. Clear golden colour with a medium white head. Well balanced german pilsener. Good buy.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty moderate hoppy aroma with week grassy notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter slightly harsh finish. Watery palate and too fizzy.
