gunnfryd (3539), Kristiansand, Norway Sep 19, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, dried fruits. Flavour is malt, caramel, dried fruits, hop. Medium body. Boring beer. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Sep 1, 2009 Bottle. It’s a clear, dark brown beer with a diminishing, creamy, two-finger beige head. Caramel, dried fruits and some faint notes of cellar in the aroma. Nice but a bit weak. Dried fruits, raisins mostly, caramel and roasted notes in the mouth. Silky, medium body. Caramel in the finish. Overall it’s a quite decent beer, caramel driven, but not very interesting. Get’s a bit one-dimensional. 090707 GG (1613), NorCal, California, USA Aug 6, 2009 I did not have my beer out of the swing-top bottle, but instead it was out of the stubby bottle. Body was a medium-dark brown cloudy color with a scan off-white head. Aroma is mostly caramel malts with a thin dark fruit character. Body is a touch off with a watered down raisin/caramel flavor. Nothing really special about this one. goozen (1061), Leiden, Netherlands Jun 6, 2009 Swingtop 0,5ltr: An good decent tasty Altbier with its dark brown colour with hints of caramel.
