Quite drinkable thought it is my least favorite of the schelmer line. Nice dark color yet I feel that it could be done a little better not quite as crisp as I would like

Very deep ruby brown, nice billowy white head fades quite slowly. Aroma of rye bread, very slight sour tang. Flavor has bread, chocolate, a bit of fudge ripple, and a hint of mint. The faintest tang is still there lurking in the background. I suspect that if this beer gets old at all, or is handled improperly, it will get real nasty real quick. As it is, this isn’t a half bad beer.

Bottle provided by, and shared with thedm and hotstuff. Brownish body with a tan head. The aroma was slightly caramely and slightly earthy. The flavor was more of the same, which wasnt all that good. Eh, not good.

The color is dark reddish brown with a light mocha head. The nose is faint and malty and a little spicey. Fairly simple on the palate. A little hops up front, then dark malt, then a little more woody hops on the finish. Itsokay

Pours a nice dark amber color. Aromas of burnt malts, spice, and a touch of smoke. Flavor is bitter burnt malts with a bittersweet finish.

Great-looking beer, with a sandy lacing off the foamy light tan head. Reddish-brown body is luminous. Aromas, too, are enticing: yeasts, light toast, chocolate, brown sugar. The flavor profile is less flexible, unfortunately, with an emphasis on the toaty malts, giving up much of the yeast and sweetness on the tripel-like nose. Still, a solid alt, quaffable and light.

Bottle. Slightly sweet and malt aroma. Clear medium brown color with moderate head. Stale barley flavor primarily - slightly sweet and smokey. A bit watery.

This bottled brew poured a small sized head of frothy off white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a transparent brown colored softly carbonated body and a poor lacing. The aroma was mild with malty and hoppy notes that were also accompanied by a dirty sock note. The mouth feel was initially smooth and mildly tingly in the finish. It had a smooth mild malt hop flavor.
