A in all a bit weak and bland. SG (456), San Clemente, California, USA

It has a sweet, malty flavor with a strong caramel flavor on the finish. The finish is bitter and dry as well. Pretty tasty. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2005 Dark clear copper color to this one. The head is thick and creamy and is a faint mocha color.
Malt aroma with just a touch of hop.
Very bitter with a dry finish. No real malt comes through with this at all. MoritzF (4989), Bochum, Germany
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2005 (swing top bottle) Dark reddish brown colour with a big rocky off-white head. A pleasant fruity (banana) and malty nose is followed by a smooth malty taste which leads to an elegant slightly bitterdry aftertaste. A lingering Altbier, even comparable with the classic ones from Düsseldorf. rudolf (1782), Buffalo, New York, USA

Ruby body with a thin head. A bit of butter, quite bitter with some chocolate. Not very interesting. Full creamy white head that lasted. Aroma is a roasty sweetness, the color was a dark brown, and taste was malty with some bitterness from hops and a slight taste of roasty malt.

Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is roasty malts, fruit and cardboard. A medium bodied alt. Malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of cardboard flavors. Bland and boring as hell. A touch cola like. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. DrunkAsASkunk (847), Lynnwood, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 3, 2005 This beer comes courtesy of beerguy101, thanks as always go to mitch. This beer pours a very deep ruby red color with a thick white head and relatively good lacing. The aroma is very strange with some malts, a hint of hops, roasted barley, corn and cardboard being detectable. Yes...im aware that those are very funky things to be detecting in an alt. The flavor is medium bodied and...well....boring. Heavily cardboardy flavor, something stale about the malt. Roasty malted finish, dry and unappealing with a hint of bittering hops and pine. Very "english" in its dryness true to style, but overall truly bland and boring.
