Spare lacework. Clear sparkling body with a pale brown colour. Aroma of grain, toasted malt, surprisingly hoppy for a German Altbier. Over the palate came mild grain, watery brown sugar and hint of fruit and floral notes. Light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour with light bitter notes. Sweet toasted malty finish. bigrond (1054), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured dark deep brown. tasted very nice, but the low alcohol content was a killer for this rating Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA

Sweet malt aroma with an almost citrusy/floral overtone, and hint of german hops. Light roast malt flavor with honey, a bit of hop flavor, and moderate hop bitterness. Medium/light mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Nice very clean finish. I think would make a great session beer. kaseyk (20), jenkinsville, South Carolina, USA

Pours a very pretty reddish brown with a thin fizzy head that soon disappears. Aroma is heavy rye bread, caramel and light dried fruits. Lively mouthfeel, leaning towards fizzy. Flavour is lightly sweet, not that powerful at first, but the aftertaste is well-balanced roasted caramel and rye bread flavours. Medium in sweetness. KimJohansen (7132), Copenhagen V, Denmark
