blipp (724), Grand Island, New York, USA Feb 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours brown with an off white head. Malty aroma, with notes of caramel and fresh bread. Medium body. Flavor is again malty with notes of sweet caramel, nuts and toasted bread. Pretty good.
dkachur (771), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 26, 2008 500 mL swingtop from Wine Warehouse. Slightly hazy auburn color with a large fizzy head. Low retention. Very toasty malt aroma with some nutty notes. Taste is tart first, with a toasty maltiness following. The tartness is a little offputting and the finish is bland. Medium body. tgncc (243), Bellmore, New York, USA Aug 12, 2008 Attractive nut brown color with tinge of red, nice off-white foam. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, a little earthy. A little thin on the mouthfeel, and the flavor for that matter. Slight maltiness, and a little bit of hops in the flavor. Finishes about the same, a malty aftertaste with the slight influence of bittering hops. Not interesting, but drinkable. joekinty (194), rockledge, Florida, USA Jun 10, 2008 sweet malts and toasty slight bitterness some smoke but not too much decent balance
bennylava (55), California, USA May 29, 2008 330 ml bottle. Pours clear brown with nice tan head. Flavor is roasted malts, a little sweet, caramel, and a little nutty.
