Dec 18, 2006 Pours bright orange into a shaker. Off-white micro head with excellent retention. Clean malt and sweet citrus aromas. Thin and sweet with a lasting slightly bitter finish.

The flavor is like butterscotch with malt, honey, and grass. The palate is thin with a trace of oak in the finish. The date is strange. 88/10/73

Dec 2, 2006 Best by 88/10/72 (???). Clear amber orange with a large white head, average lacing. Aroma is bread, grassy and spicy hops, light caramel. Slightly velvety mouthfeel, but overall watery with a light bitterness. Very German feeling. Good but limited.

Nov 20, 2006 Light malt aroma, perhaps with underlying hop. Lightly tarnished golden color, with a persisting white head. Starts with bread, a sweet and sour aspect, continuing with biscuit flavors. Substantial mouthfeel. Decent light bitterness in the finish. Something of a water cracker flavor. Never had anything like it.

Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy dark yellow to light amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (bread, toasted grain, husks), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), with a light note apple peel.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Has potential, but not as cleanly made as it should be.

Sep 30, 2006 doesnt get better than this. smooth,flavorful,lingering head.great with bratwurst. id leave my lovely wife for this beer ...if ms schwelmer could do the laundry and clean the house. gave it to a friend and his wife.she doesnt drink beer,UNTIL NOW.

Jul 8, 2006 Clear amber with a bubble head that reduced to zip, but it gets more points for the cool swing-top bottle. Some toffee sweetness in the aroma, along with some orange/mandarin blend and a bit of grain. Quite bland flavour, mostly just some sweetness and a tinge of bitterness.
