Another great beer from Schwelmer. Incredibly this beer has a strong malt flavor, but it not extraodrinarily sweet. A very good beer if you come across it, so Schwelmer’s Altbier.

Pours a clear copper colour with a medium foamy head. Nice aroma of caramel malt. Caramel malt taste with some sweetness up front and a long lasting, light hop finish

This was a very good vienna lager. A good rich malt aroma followed with a Redish copper color which was perfect to style. Great clarity. Very light vienna style flavor little to no hop aroma strong malt flavor. I get a hing of tofee Good German Nobel hops. Very creamy at end of taste grat beer for style.

Somewhat bocky nose - some sulfur, brown sugar, grass. Great carmelized malt, some frutiness, lemon, brown sugar, baked apples. Very nice.

Clear, light, golden amber color, lush head, dotted and lacing, cloud-like...nice... Aroma: nice, malty, grainy, yeasty, pleasing enough... Taste: sweet and happy, nice texture, good grit on the tongue. Light bodied, easily drinkable, tasty, tasty, good malt presence. Quite a delicious Vienna lager. yum, yum...can’t beat it! If you just want a nice, tasty, easy-going, distinctively malty lager, this is right up your alley. Go for it, please!

Golden washed out coloured with a thin creamy white head. Sweet biscuity malt aroma, light oxidization. Rather faint caramel malt with definite cardboard notes. lost its hops in the process. The bottle was probabbly old and was bought 9 months ago at Beers of the World, late fall 2004.

(swing top bottle) Pale amber colour with a lasting medium foamy white head. Light malty aroma with banana fruity background. Smooth and crispy mouthfeel with caramellish malts and a dry hoppy finish. A quaffable brew.
