Lots of bubbles rising in glass. Bready, nutty, caramel nose. Creamy, semi-sweet, cereal flavor. Finished a tad dull and flavorless. Highly drinkable. soulgrowl (52), Kitakyushu-shi, Japan
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 7, 2008 Aroma: Grainy malts, a bit of lemony zest, probably from the hops, a long drizzle of honey and just a drop of coffee.
Appearance: Topaz-peach, clear and satiny body with a sudsy off-ivory head. Big bubbles, poor retention, and no lacing, but what a pretty color.
Flavor: Tasty, well-balanced, and smooth. The sweetness from the malts does not overwhelm the palate. Slightly nutty. Undercurrents of toasty banana bread, punctuated by a minor uprising of citric hops. Vague diacetyl character as well.
Palate: Smooth and creamy, but with little, sharp, tingly bubbles. Surprisingly full-bodied but still light on the tongue.
Overall: This beer is a no-brainer; nothing out-of-the-ordinary going on, but quite delicious and easy to drink. durhambeer (1225), Durham, USA

Definite notes of honey and toffee. Malt present... butterscotch/biscuity, for sure. Never had a Vienna before. Not bad. afireinside96 (839), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
