There are notes of malt and yeast on the nose and a deep malt flavor on the mouthfeel. It also shows some decentbalance between sweet and bitter. wxman (587), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Pours a somewhat dark golden color with a hearty egg white type head. that coats the glass. Sweet malt aroma. Sweet maply malt flavor, along with freshly baked bread and a little hop bitterness. There’s a pronouced tartness to the aftertaste that is pleasant. Another really good Schwelmer effort, although many of their offerings appear to be quite close in taste and character to one another. milewide (613), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 1, 2007 Copper amber with a white head. Malty aroma. Sweet malty taste with what I took to be fruit flavours of melon and date. Late bitterness. All right, I suppose. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 26, 2007 Soapy, and small white head. Copper-hued body. Lightly malty aroma, with hints of honey. Very subdued aroma, and extremely subdued flavor. This might be a lager, but there’s not much lager-qualtiy to it, meaning that it really lacks flavor in general. Mostly some gentle malts. That’s about it. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 21, 2007 Huge malty aroma has hints of honey and caramel. The body is a muddy tea colored brown and holds a diminishing white head that is never more than a pinky thick. Big malt dose up front is very honey accented. The mouthfeel is almost sprtizy though like a carbonated honey soda. But, the carbonation level is actually on the low side....it just feels soda-like. The finish tastes strongly og honey covered biscuits and malt powder. Doesn’t do anything for me, this one. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA
