11/5/09 from half liter bottle. Aroma is very sweet with lots of caramel and a touch of wheat sourness. Appearance is hazy straw with a medium white head. Flavor is more sweet/sour malt forward with a strong citrus background. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly creamy, with some slickness and moderate spritzy carb texture. Overall, good and refreshing, but lacking in yeast character.

The bottle looks simple, but good, the beer in the glass also. Starts fruity and fresh, fine yeasty. Malty notes in the background, also some notes of cinnamon. Well balanced, mild finish. Good!

Missing the maltiness and balance of a true great hefe. The aftertaste is actual better than the beer itself. Found at a BP gas station in Wisconsin Dells. Drinkable but not great.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s a hazy, yellow-golden beer topped by a nice white head. The aroma has banana and coriander with some citrus and wheat in the back. Maybe not the best specimen considering style, but pleasant. The same goes for the flavor, which also has some sweetness, and a little bitterness in the end. Effervescent and dry. A hefeweizen that doesn’t stand out in any way, but it drinks good. 090821

It’s an unclear golden beer with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of wheat, banana and clove. The flavor has sweetness and notes of banana, wheat, light clove and the finish has a touch of sourish yeast.
