Shame the contents don’t live up to the promise of the stylish label and swingtop bottle. Pale gold, with a 1cm head that spackled, rather than laced. Very buttery aroma, all malt and scant hops. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Sweet malt giving way to a slightly intrusive bitterness. (Liquor on Parade, 0.5l swingtop bottle) Sully (1367), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia

It resents well in the swing top bottle and when poured resembles a typical beer of its style with a blonde hue and good creamy head. the nose is a bit dumb and only demonstrates a mild malty aroma with hops reasonably absent. The taste is also a bit disappointing but it probably shows a bit too much attenuation which is in keeping with the style but not in a positive way. Linc (736), Sydney, Australia

It doesn’t affect the flavor though, which is hoppy, aromatic and rather excellent. Typical German "spitzenklasse". 271103 Saarlander (1579), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 2, 2005 From the cool swingtop bottle comes a clear yellow liquid with a bit chlorine and biscuit in the aroma. Short lived head but a nice hop zip, that I didnt expect. Taste isnt too bad though. Flavors blend well together starting with the nice use of malts and grains. Herbal hop flavor mixes in nicely. Once is enough for this stuff though. Sregnar35 (730), Rotterdam, New York, USA

It was, at that moment, the greatest beer ever. But in all actuality, it’s a lager without any off flavors. pivnizub (5028), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
