Flavor a bit metallic with the same notes, quite earthy, earthily malty. I believe this is my first Classic German Pils outside of Warsteiner, which apparently does not taste like said style, and while it tastes like a good beer to me, not sure how much I like it. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light yellow with a small foamy white head. Aroma of wheat and light spices (pepper). Flavor of stale wheat and cardboard. This isn’t very good. It just doesn’t have any flavor. asheft (1438), Marburg, Germany

Aroma is sort of grassy but with tons of hay and honey and maybe a note of ginger...delicious. Bright golden with not so much white stuff on top. Excellent malt flavour that’s perfectly offset by noble hops. Gentle bitterness, with plenty of pleasant hay. Really a top notch PIls. Medium body and crisp with medium carbonation and a clean finish. blutt59 (2172), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 8, 2008 Starts well, pour is pretty as a picture. Classic Pilsener of clear body and foamy white head. Aroma is damp hay, flavour is a mix of corn syrup, some sweet malts that finishes with a nice bitterness.
Good robust pilsener. tgncc (845), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 1, 2008 Smells of malts, grass. The aroma is ok, definitely not its strong suit. True to its style, it is a straw gold color with white head. Malty flavor, some earthy, grassy notes as well. Finish is a little sour, not at all hoppy. This is far from my favorite style, and I don’t make much distinction between a pilsener and a typical pale lager. But this is not bad. jbuzz (664), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jul 29, 2008 Single from Three Cellars Milwaukee. Nice but on the lighter side. Good head that lasts. Grassy tones and light malt. dkachur (2429), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Either their best by date is 1987, or I can’t decipher what coding they use. Pours a clear peach color with clearly visible carbonation. 2-finger head with decent retention but not much lacing. Sweet, grainy aroma with a subtle grassy note. Very malty taste with a grassy and slightly hoppy finish.
