Commercial Description:
Our standout pale ale balances a light honey taste with bitey bitterness and crisp citrus notes. This is no ordinary beer.

Orange in colour with big head that dissapeared quickly. Big candy floss aroma. Grapfuit flavours, short bitterness. MMMMM!

Bottle, purchased on my last visit to the Invercargill Brewery bottle shop before leaving for Canada. This, along with Emerson’s limited release weizenbock, was to be my last kiwi brew before returning home. It pours a bright orange-gold with a lively foamy head. Very fragrant perfumey citrus and resin hoppy aroma. The palate is extremely thin and is dominated by citrus and resin hop character, which unfortunately cannot hide the lack of malt balance. Still, this is by far the most flavourful and enjoyable of any of the gluten-free beers I’ve had, simply because of the generous hop flavours.

Bottle. Pours a clear and bright gold with no head but plenty of visible carbonation. A sweet honeyish citrus nose. The palate certainly as a bitter bite to it, but it is very much that of raw grain. There is that honey again in the flavour, but overall lacks body and substance and is a bit soapy. But, for the Celiacs, it sure beats Bud Light.
