3/22/08 On tap at the Cask Festival. Aroma is very artificial with raspberry fruity sweetness. Appearance is dark brown with a low maintained tan head. Flavor is low malty with fruity sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with no carb texture. Overall, not bad besides the artificial fruit note.

22 oz. bottle - thin tan head and dark brown; aromas of nuts and roasted chocolate; dry and slightly bitter finish; drinks thin and pretty standard porter flavors; gets a little creamy towards the end

Bottle. Pours deep brown to black with a light tan head. Nutty aroma. Flavor is nutty. Light on the tongue. Not your typical porter.

22 oz bottle, via 5000. Pours a clear brown body with a small fizzy light brown head that faded to a thin ring. A good bit of visible carbonation. The nose is nutty and lightly roasty with some roasted peanut and light hops. Some light vegetal notes. The flavor is too nutty and vegetal for a Porter, no chocolate and the roast is minimal. Some cola and a slight sour tinge on the finish. Mouthfeel is thin and lighter in body, giving it a watery texture. Moderate fizzy carbonation. Overall, just too many off-flavors going on here for this to be enjoyable.

Brown, light tan head. Aroma held notes of sweet fruity chocolate and light roasted coffee. Roasted fruit flavors and mild chocolate notes round with a slight hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, lightly bittersweet finish. Thanks for sharing, kmweaver!

Strange pasty, mild toast and bran smell. Chewy up front, then pasty, then crusty, with flavor of toasted bread, crusty dinner rolls, some very faint chocolate malt. Overall a very plain porter with not a lot going on.

22oz bottle, courtesy of a trade from a while ago. Thanks! Pours a dark, cherry-cola color; light tan head with patchy fine-bubbled lacing. Light, somewhat watery caramel and dried fruit in the aroma; basic and watery. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: tea-like malts, watery dried fruits and caramel; not too much chocolate or roasted malts coming through; more of a vaguely toasty brown ale than anything resembling a real porter. Lengthy finish, showing dried fruits and watery caramel; toasty malts.
