Dark brown amberish with suitable head. I am surprised to see this categorized as a porter as I would call it a winter ale/strong ale, though English brown porter could suffice. Aroma of milk chocolate and caramel which plays into the flavor as well. A fabulous winter seasonal with some complexity of malts; caramel, chocolate and maltiness. Perfact hop balance complements the malts with a touch of hop bitterness.

Pours a transparent dark copper with a nicely-lacing tan head. Aroma of fresh toasty dark caramel malts and molten dark chocolate with a touch of light fruity esters. Body starts with good toasty sweetness and earthy dark caramel chocolate flavors before a slightly drier, biscuity toasty semi-sweet finish. A pretty nice porter.

22oz bomber. Deep brown with a reddish tint. Medium ring of beige head. Caramel and spicy nose with a nostril numbing alcohol burn. Medium to full bodied with a nice alcohol presence. Flavors of dried fruits. Figs, prunes and raspberries. Vanilla sweetness. Sticky malts. Caramel and toffee notes. Hint of cocoa. Somewhat dry acidic finish. Good coffee bitterness. Good fruity esters. Nice alcohol warmth. Lively sticky effect. Well done.

Bottle from Bottleworks. Mild aroma that pours dark amber with a tan head. Good balance of mild hops and a touch of spic. Medium body that goes down smooth

Bottle: Pours a fairly dark mahogany color with light head and a bit of lacing. The nose is lightly roasty, clean plum and lots of toasty sesame seed and malts; light hops. The flavor is a bit strong in bitterness and alcohol but it has a nice body to accompany the clean light roast and toastiness. The finish is a bit more mellow than I thought it would be with a nice creamy light latte/mocha note. Nice beer, whatever it is. Thanks to Indiana_Red for providing me with this sample.

Bottle pours a dark redish brown with sandy colored head and traces of lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts and a slight sour note. Like a Porter. Flavor is a bit astringent, roasted and the ABV is apparent but not overpowering. LIvely carbomation. No stlye listed but either a porter or a dark brown ale. Not bad.

Taster – Washington Winter Beer Festival – Seattle, WA – Nice dark malt aroma and flavors. Loved the chocolate and coffee flavors. Very warm and well brewed beer. Loved how this beer develops more when it warms up.
