Scuttlebutt 12th Anniversary Scotch Ale

On draught at the brewpub in Everett, Washington. Pours a clear dark copper amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has good retention and spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, with some malty chocolate, toffee flowery hops and a touch of spice. Taste is full bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of candi sugar, caramel malt, flowery hops and some toffee. Finish is semi-sweet, some light metallic texture from some high alcohol, and no bitterness in aftertaste. Missing some peat or smoky character but still a solid semi-sweet scotch ale.
