Commercial Description:
This is an American style amber ale with distinctive hop flavor and aroma. The hop character is a result of the blending of Mt. Hood and Willamette hops. It is highlighted by the light amber color and balanced by malt undertones. We recommend this beer for those who enjoy hop characteristics, but don't want to be overwhelmed by them.

Bright reddish-amber colour. Caramelly malt aroma. Light toasty palate, with a hint of caramel. Fairly straightforward, typical amber.

Bottle (warm – salvaged a bottle that fell off the top of the fridge and compromised its seal)… Mostly clear, deep, dirty orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. The toasty nose offers up lots of caramel and biscuit, but also has an earthy undertone. Medium-bodied with modest carbonation. Even warm, the flavor is well-balanced as the toasted, caramely sugars are toned down by just-enough earthy bitterness. Finishes crisp, then lightly sweet. Dang, maybe all beers should be drunk at about 80° F. Bottle provided by riversideAK!

Dark amber color with a small lid of beige bubbles. Aromas have just a hint of malt atop a tomato sauce mix. Sweet malt with a perfumed hops background that takes over well into the linger. Balance is off. I can’t say this was a mistreated bottle. Purchased and placed in my cooler. I’m just not digging the herbal hops.

Drank @ 25,000ft on my way hoome from my Northwest Week of Beer
Ruby, bronze color with a light hazyness through the cheap 6oz clear plastic airplane cup. The aroma is malty & spicy with notes of fruit cake & nutbread, some distant hops bounce out. The flavor has a medium body with plenty of domestic malts coming through. Complex malt body, earthy hops (chinook & special B?. The finish is lightly sweet and has a lingering bitterness & a creamy caramel based tail. Not too bad for a random in-flight beer.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours lightly hazy dark copper with very little head. Aromas of roasted caramel and fruit hop. Medium body with sharp, but mild, carbonation. Seems a bit buttery. Otherwise a little bready, and not a lot of hop, just enough to add some fruit. Decent amber.

On draught at the brewpub in Everett, Washington. Pours a clear golden amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates nearly clean with no lacing or ring. Aroma of light fruity apples, a touch of toffee and citrus zest. Taste has a chalky caramel malt flavor with a hint of roasted nuts, and citrus zest. Finish is slightly semi-sweet with a light malt aftertaste with no bitterness. Overall - an average amber ale.
