| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice tan. Creamy white head. Nice hop aroma, good hop bitterness to beer. Not as extravagantly styled as many IPAs, a nice change. fakepurseninja (785), Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 15, 2008 Awfully fantastic IPA - very rich and full bodied. Smooth, woody bread malt background that balances a huge, floral grapefruit inspired, borderline ’wet hop’ component. The hops really shine in this, great combination. Somewhat astringent finish but well suited by the heavy body. I’ve passed this over many time but never picked one up - my mistake as this is a wonderful example of a PNW IPA. I think it is great. It is one of my favorite IPAs. Very fragrant, with a significant bitter component. My only complaint (more a critique) is that it could be a little more boozy. 5.5 % is at the lower end of an American IPA. robforbes (1099), Bremerton, Washington, USA

pours a clear amber with a small off-white head.
smell is faint, some hops, a little dough.
taste is grapefruit, bitter, slightly metallic, hops, a toastiness to it also, mouth-feel is sticky and leaves the mouth a bit on the bitter side.
overall an above average brew, taste better than it looks or smells.

Pours a massive head which lingered the entire glass and left a beautiful lace. Has a honey orange hue. A decent smell of grapefruit and flowers .
The taste is fairly mild, with a hoppy grapefruit flavor predominating. An ever so subtle caramel sweetness kicks in at the back of my mouth. Finishes with a pleasantly mild hop after taste.
This is a smooth , subtle, easy drinking IPA.
