Great aroma and flavor hops (Columbus, cascades and I believe there might have been some Centennial). Great Body and Balance - it was somewhat bitter but in a good way. This was a great beer and one reason I’m willing to explore new taps because once in a while ...you might find a gem like this. I think it is great. It is one of my favorite IPAs. Very fragrant, with a significant bitter component. My only complaint (more a critique) is that it could be a little more boozy. 5.5 % is at the lower end of an American IPA. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 21, 2007 Enjoyed this one on draught at the brewery in Everett, WA. Pours to a hazy, burnt orange color, with a soapy, white head that fades, and a good carbonation. The nose is excellent, with lots of zesty, pine and lemon/grapefruit hop aromas. The palate is firm, with pale, and caramel malt sweetness, along with some tangy citrus hops, and light, jammy esters. This beer finishes with good pale and sweet malt, then ends with a zesty, tangy piney/grapefruit hop bitterness that lingers. Classic example of AIPA. Lots of good hop aroma, flavor, and bitterness. Delicious, drinkable AIPA. HH (165), Everett, Washington, USA

This is a decent IPA, not quite as good as some others but still a solid effort. Would take this over most, still it ain’t a Diamond Knot..... Chickencoop (35), California, USA

I know there are other well known, cult classics from the North, but this is one of my favorites.
This pours a deep amber, big frothy head. Malty notes on the smell. The most important, the taste, I like the malty taste with the citrusy hops. Very easy to drink, simple but tasty. nuplastikk (1221), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Earthy seawater dry hoppy aroma, quite nice. Boldly thick stuff, quite nice. Lots of solid malt depth, with a an impressive bitter backbone. This really packs in a lot of flavor for a beer of 5.25%. Toasty sweet hop syrup aftertaste. This is a great beer. llcooldave (337), San Antonio, Texas, USA

Mildly aggressive hops flavor (nice). Finishes with a lovely hoppy bitterness. This is one IPA I can dig... dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
