snakeoilpete (324), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 29, 2009 Updated: Apr 2, 2009On nitro at Wallingford Pizza House. Pours clear reddish copper with a decent beige head. Smell and taste are fairly subdued. Mostly roasty biscuit/cookie malts with a slight hop kick and a little caramel sweetness. Faintly hoppy finish. eyesolus (64), Mill Creek, Washington, USA Mar 11, 2009 Brewpub tap; advertised as a crisp grapefruit flavor but I didn’t taste much of the grapefruit but did pickup on the bitterness normally associated with the grapefruit; decent safe beer; also had a Nitro Sequoia Red which made the head really pop and cut down on the bitterness a bit; a bit more enjoyable; I rate the nitro as 3.4. (#33) Skyview (3948), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Sep 2, 2008 On nitro charge at the brewpub in Everett, Washington. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a creamy and soft off-white head that slowly dissolves to a thin and creamy off-white head with excellent lacing from the nitro pour. Aroma of caramel malt, light apples, brown sugar and roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, malty caramel and toffee flavors with a touch of citrus zest. Finish is smooth and creamy with a malty aftertaste and then a mild bitterness. Crit (2398), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jun 23, 2008 Nitro at Buckeroo:Hazy amber, lasting beige head. Light citrus nose.Start is very sweet, a bit too much so, medium strength hop finish.
Great lacing
asteele8 (270), Mukilteo, Washington, USA Oct 23, 2007 On tap at Scuttlebutt. Pours a reddish brown hue with a decent slightly off-white head on top. Aroma is slightly yeasty and sweet with hops coming in pretty well. Flavor is pretty hoppy and spicy with a nice sweetness coming in from the malts. Easy on the palate and a middle of the road body. Bradrcr (778), Renton, Washington, USA Sep 9, 2007 9/8/07 On draught on WABL Yakima trip. Aroma is malty, sweet forward with a strong earthy noble hop balance. Appearance is a very hazy medium brown. Flavor is a very solid blend with sweet malt slightly dominant but great presence of complex grains, earthy noble hops and citrus. Texture is medium bodied with a medium carb feel and dry finish. Overall, great complexity and a true craft flavor that feels very English in nature.
