Commercial Description:
A strong wheat beer (O.G. 1.065) brewed in the weizen bock style. Full bodied and smooth, it finishes with a hint of spice resulting from a generous final addition of Hallertau hops. Available mid September.

Muddy brown color. Chocolate, wheat, clove, and slightly sour aroma. Flavor is sour chocolate and banana with a mild bitter presence too. I thought it was good.

16oz draft (Sharps Roaster & Ale house 5/13/07-known here as Old No. 8)-An amber body w a decent head. Aroma of alcohol and a little hops. Taste of alcohol, dryness, and a funky taste. Not good. Maybe it was a bad keg according to the other reviews.

Enjoyed this one on draught at the brewery in Everett, WA. Pours to a murky, deep caramel color, with a slight tan head that fades, and a moderate carbonation. The nose is aromatic, with aromas of sweet malt, and estery aromas of green apple, banana, and plum. The palate is a bit thin, with flavors of sweet malt and caramel, and esters of green apple, and pear. This beer finishes with more sweet malt and fruity flavor, then ends spicy, with hints of clove, and black pepper. Tasty enough domestic example of weizen bock, but not quite up to snuff with the German examples, or some better domestics.

Bottle Pours a slightly hazy light orange/amber. Small quick head and spotty lacing. Sweet fruity aroma. Lots of notes I can’t put my finger on.l raisons, spices, orange peel. Flavor is not quite so complex, a bit sour and thin. Slightly swet woody and very little hop bitterness. Moderate feel. Low carbonation. Interesting.

22 oz Bottle Pours out a nice amber color with a white head. A nice spice and some hops. Good over all. Thanks Indian_Red.

22 oz. Bottle: Cloudy light brown with a minimal light brown head. Sweet aromas of figs, alcohol, fruit leather. Tangy tastes ending in a sour cream finish. Th flavors aren’t as prominent, but still an pk brew. Thanks Indiana_Red for sharing.

Bottle: Pours a hazy orange brown color, a retentive white head and no lacing. The nose is lightly musky and malty, some light spicy hops and a touch of caramel; metallic? The flavor is tangy and lightly sour with another bit of spicy hop and dark plummy malt. The finish is thin and light, not much in the tail. Some spice and herbs, but a bit underwhelming for a weizenbock. Thanks for the bottle Pitonka!

Bottle: Dirty caramel in color, thick and hazy, moderate to thin spritzy off-white head, dies quicly, little lacing.   Bready nose, malty, slight dark pitted fruit skin, a bit if plastic tho.   Astringent breadiness on the tongue... not much dark pitted fruit or sweet caramel like malt.   Its... um... very disappointing.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, but floating on the watery side.   Finish falls flat, very bready but the sweetness is not there.   Not really a weizen, nor a bock.   Very disappointing this one is.
