| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Hazy, flat-looking amber colour with no head. Aroma of spice, alcohol, light peach, plum. Slight alcohol note, and dusty yeast. Light fruit finish. Some okay flavours, but lifeless. CaptainCougar (5519), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 20, 2008 Pours a transparent copper orange with a wispy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet malted wheat and some oxidized papery notes with a hint of fruity banana esters. Body starts fairly full and sweet with some bready notes and fruity balance before a drier toasty finish. An ok weizenbock but needs more authenticity and complexity. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Bomber courtesy of RiversideAK. Pours mahogany with a tan head. Smells of raisins, wheat, spices, some cloves, rosey, some earthy hints. Tastes lightly peppery with lots of spice and sweet malt. The esthers I usually associate with weizenbock aren’t quite there, but pleasant.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 2, 2009 Poured into my Aventinus glass. Hazed orange to copper colored liquid. Small diminishing head of beige bubbles. Fruitcake, light spice (clove, mace and cinnamon), soggy grains and maple wood aromas. Fairly thick and not much life in the feel. Light fruit start with some plum and apricot. A little spice in the middle with a bit of cloves. Finish has some sweet wheat. Flavors seem to be a mix of a weizen bock and a wheat wine. Interesting, but not that appealing to me. BückDich (4854), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 11, 2006 Bottle: Pours a hazy orange brown color, a retentive white head and no lacing. The nose is lightly musky and malty, some light spicy hops and a touch of caramel; metallic? The flavor is tangy and lightly sour with another bit of spicy hop and dark plummy malt. The finish is thin and light, not much in the tail. Some spice and herbs, but a bit underwhelming for a weizenbock. Thanks for the bottle Pitonka! Skyview (4061), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 3, 2008 Picked up a single 22-oz bomber from Malt & Vine in Redmond, Washington. Pours a clear dark amber brew with an average off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and off-white head. Aroma of semi-sweet caramel malt, a touch of tropical fruit, light raisin, cloves and a touch of yeast. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, citrus zest, a touch of grapefruit, yeast and some light raisin. Finish is semi-sweet with a mild bitter texture that slowly disappears. Average weizenbock, yet still a solid beer. Ughsmash (4053), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Bomber. Poured hazy reddish-orange with a fine cap of beige head.. looked good. The aroma picked up very sweet, candied light fruits paired with sour fruits, wheat, and cloves.. more sour and aggressive than it should’ve been. The flavor found sour fruits all the way through with metallic character at times and vinegar at others.. wet grains joined at the middle.. clove and lemony spicage surrounded, but were overshadowed by the sourness.. sour, sharp, metallic finish. Medium-bodied and harsh on the palate with a poor flow.. underattenuated, possibly infected, and just ugly all around.
