Smells of apples, rum, some oak, brown sugar, some subtle pear hints ae also there. Tastes dry initially before giving way to an intense tartness accompanied by a funky undertone. Finishes with some hints of rum. I’d drink this every day if I could. Excellent cider! IrishBoy (2716), Bakersfield, California, USA

Nose of rum, tartness, and contrastingly mildly sweet apples, to go with the oak, very green appley to my nose. Clear darker yellow gold with some floating bubbles from the carbonation. Flavor is rummy, mild woodiness, moderate tartness, and slightly sweetness of the apples. Finishes slightly tart. This would be a favorite usual drink if I could get it. If I get up to Victoria soon I may need to buy a case to take home. TheCheeseMan (539), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA

The aroma is full on sweet apples, brown sugar, vanilla, rum and even some sweet pie spices. Flavor is awesome!!! The rum plays perfectly against the sweet apples. Absolutely wonderful. darkguardian (506), Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 3, 2008 22oz bottle of pure awesomeness from Cheeseman at the Solan’s Mom Throwdown. Pours the color of apple juice with no real head . Nose is full on spiced apples and just a touch of rum. Taste is very full on the palate which I found a little suprising. The apple and spice are front and center here but the alcohol in the form of run hits strong towards the end. In the middle notes of cardamom and brown sugar and a hint of vanilla from the aging. The best cider I’ve ever had by a mile. CapFlu (3483), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Pours a deep golden hue with a frothy, quick dissipating head. Nose of ice cider, ripened apples and iodine. Nicely tart pulp with a burnt sugar and earthy tone. Very warming and similar to indulging in a single malt scotch. Very rich, smooth and mildly sweetened by the oak barrel. Lovely cider. Definitely one of my Top 10 ciders... | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 30, 2009 Bottle purchased from Brewery Creek. Pale straw colour with a thin fast fading head. Champagne-like appearance. Aroma is really incredible. Rich fruity nose with lots of rich sweet caramel and toffee over a bright vanilla/toasted oak character. Very faint tannic character on the back. Spritzy/creamy body with a lovely soft lingering sweetness. Dusty apple skin character on the finish that adds a touch of spice to all the apple/pear fruitiness. Really impressive stuff. PhillyBeer2112 (2089), Orange Park, Florida, USA

A touch floral. Pleasing sweet soft apple flavors, with a touch of light rum. Sweet, candyish almost but in a good way, a real good way. Medium bodied. Yes! Oakes (8101), gone rambling, Cambodia
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 20, 2007 Golden colour. Nose of apple, barrel, alcohol, rum. Big flavour - apple, rum, barrel and booze. Great melding of two unnatural flavours. Intriguing, complex beverage. It’s compelling in a way I have trouble describing but trust me when I say that this is excellent, unique cider.
