The aroma smells like apricot and it’s sweet. The flavour is dry, watery and quite disappointing. cheapdark (2037), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 8, 2007 12 oz brown bottle with a twist off cap. Twist her off and you get an aroma of apricot and beer, possibly a little artificial in smell. The color and head of this is your ubiquitous pale yellow american beer, with bubbles within. The taste of this is reminiscent of the Blueberry sea dog. Not as sweet as the aroma would indicate. There is a bit of apricot flavor in there but not a whole lot. Interesting but as far as it being wheat, not much wheat character in there. It is not cloudy and there is no sludge on the bottom of the bottle. I must say, there is no bitterness in there like so many ’wheat’ beers that I had that were hopped to a certain extent. Finish is mild and medium length with an interesting and different apricot hanging flavor. A little disappointing for a wheat beer but as expected for a typical fruit beer. Cannot even come close to Lancaster’s Strawberry wheat as far as enjoyability goes. GonZoBeeR (2163), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 5, 2007 Bottle: Vibrant golden, large fizzy white head, dies quickly, sparce lacing, bright carbonation.   Candyish Apricot aroma, the
artificial kind.   Pale malt flavor, light artificial Apricot flavor, somewhat mealy/cereal like.   Moderate body and mouthfeel,
somewhat light and airy... *burp*.   Becomes more cereal like as it warms, and less fruity.   Overall not bad, but too artificial.
Probably great for a hot day with a salad or something, but otherwise your typical fake fruity extremely pale ale.

Nose is lots of apricot and citrus, hints of wheat. Pleasant aroma really. Taste is muddled fruit, malty, wheat... a bit soapy. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | May 4, 2007 Bottle: This is a bit over the top. The aroma is so dominated by apricot syrup that it doesn’t even resemble apricot reality anymore. It is like someone emptied an entire can of cheap fruit bathroom spray after someone defiled it with their utter putrefaction. The taste is apricot candy, hints of Tums (multi-berry flavor) and a little wheat. Thanks Indiana_Red for the real treat. IndianaRed (1560), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 4, 2007 Bottle Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a white skim head. Dish soap and light malts...oh and some apricot "exxence" Flavor was very faint fruit and extremely light malt notes. Some apricot comes back a few seconds after the sip but the lingering soapy bitterness really sticks with you. Light fizzy feel.
Here’s hoping this "Sea Dog" doesn’t make it back to port for a long time..... BuckeyeBoy (1674), Boise, Idaho, USA
